Summary:
Hebrews 11 mentions a group of people of whom the world was not worthy of.
- What made them so special that the world was not worthy of them?
- If the world was not worthy of these people, what was worthy of them?
- What did they have to overcome to become one of those whom the world was not worthy?

Summary:
When the Lord says to ‘behold’, it’s important for us to pay attention and ponder over.
1. Behold His second coming: Will we be among those who weep or those who rejoice at the return of the King?
2. Behold false teachings and judgement if we don’t repent: He who sows in the flesh will reap corruption, he who sows in the spirit will reap eternal life.
3. Behold the open door of salvation: The Philadelphia church used their little strength to preach, and God opened the door. We may only have little strength; we may only have a few people to preach to. God looks to see if we will exercise our little strength to preach, and He will open the door for us.

Summary:
Lessons from the Service at Mt Gerizim and Ebal:
1. Worship/service requires us to put in effort to be present: The Israelites had to travel ~48km to the service. Are we willing to travel to church while we have the opportunity instead of just streaming in? Let us not forsake the assembling of ourselves together so we can stir up love and good works in each other! (Heb 10:24-25).
2. Service should involve offerings from the members: Not just $, but the offering of praise with our lips! Let us esteem prayer and hymn singing during service.
3. Service must always be centred around the word of God: In service, we must respond to the word of God; we cannot be passive or asleep. Listen to discern. Listen to accept. If it’s truly God’s word, we say ‘amen’ and act it out in our lives.

Summary:
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Tim 3:16-17)
- What is all Scripture?
- What is all Scripture good for?
- What is the ultimate goal of all Scripture?

Summary:
From the epistle of Philemon, we learn from:
1. Paul: He interceded for Onesimus just like Jesus interceded for us. He didn’t try to escape from his sinful past; instead, he faced it squarely and worked hard to make up for it.
2. Onesimus: His name means ‘profitable’. He was far from that before accepting Christ. But after that lived up to his name.
3. Philemon: His name means ‘love’. Paul appealed to Philemon to accept Onesimus with love as a family member despite what he had done.
Let us endeavour to be Pauls, Onesimuses (profitable) and Philemons (loving).
