Summary:
There are 4 types of calling:
- From above: Seize hold of the opportunity to preach while we still have time! Not only our time is limited, the time of others is limited too! No one can guarantee they’ll live the next day.
- From below: Can we bear if our family and friends are amongst those who cry out pitifully from below after the Last Day?
- From external: Singapore church lacks full time workers to succeed the work. Have we heard the Macedonian call to preach salvation?
- From within: “Woe to me if I do not preach!” Do these words resonate with us?

Summary:
We think having a deadline is better, but it doesn’t guarantee people will prepare. Some will think they’re capable enough to meet it and rush just before that, but they may not make it. The Lord doesn’t tell us the ‘deadline’ of His second coming because He knows human’s tendency to procrastinate. All He requires of us is to always be prepared. How? By having an inventory checklist (where we need to check the expiry dates of the batches) instead of just a to-do list. It’s not enough to have something; we need to note whether what we have is relevant. Does it need to be refreshed/renewed? For example, we may think we are prepared because we have read the Bible. But is our understanding of it still relevant?

Summary:
Putting on Christ is not only at the point of our baptism but also a consistent effort throughout our lives. As we wait on the Lord to come, do we hold steadfast to our faith or have we decided to let go of Christ because we find this too tiring? Do we still believe in the promises of the Lord? In our pursuit of faith, have we left a foot-hole for the devil? This sermon covers 2 (woman with child and the great harlot) of the 4 women mentioned in the book of Revelation. As we read and study the representation of these 2 women, let us also reflect: have I really put on Christ? Do I truly believe in the power and authority of my Lord Jesus Christ?

We may have served in different aspects before; be it cleaning or interpreting work in church. Have we done the work well? What does it mean to do the work well and what does it mean to not do well?
